Auriculotemporal syndrome auriculotemporal nerve의 손상으로 발생  
: preauricular, temporal area의 sensory fiber  
  parotid gland와 sympathetic vasomotor의 parasympathetic fiber  
  preauricular skin의 sudomotor fiber에 영향  

Clinical feature    

1. preauricular temporal area의 sweating, flushing, warmth, pain  
2. sweating검사: Minor's starch-iodine test이용  
3. 관련된 증상: chorda tympany syndrome, gustatory lacrimation syndrome  

Treatment and prognosis    

1. 심한경우: local atropine injection,  scopolamine cream  
2. 대부분 mild하므로 치료필요없음
