Definition

  ① serious acinar differentiation을 보이는 타액선 암종이다.
  ② non-aggresive한 경향과 good prognosis를 가지고 있어, acinic cell tumor라 불린다.

Clinical Features

  ① Parotid gland에서 가장 호발한다.
  ② 발생 연령이 넓다.(평균 연령 : 40대 중반)
  ③ 천천히 진행하는 mass
  ④ 안면 신경 마비는 드물다.

Histopathologic Features

  ① 잘 경계지워지고 encapsulated, 때론 infiltrative
  ② the serous acinar cell이 가장 특징적
  ③ the serous acinar cell
      많은 과립  basophilic 세포질과 둥글고 검게 염색된 enccentric 핵

Treatment and Prognosis

  ① 이하선의 the superficial lobe에 국한된 A.C.C -> lobectomy
                                                      deep lobe -> total patidectomy
  ② 악성 타액선 종양 중 좋은 예후를 가진다.
  ③ major glands보다 minor gland tumors에서 더 예후가 좋다.
